Build your coaching skills to develop pupils and staff through our online coaching programmes

The programmes have been developed with our partners Learning Organisation UK and Dr Neil Suggett Coaching. Neil brings extensive experience of coaching as well as the expertise he contributed to the National College for School Leadership coaching research project.

There are two programmes available:

What is Coaching?

This two week online course has been designed as an introduction to coaching skills and also allows participants to become familar with learning in an online environment. Working in small groups, with an experienced facilitator, participants learn basic coaching skills.

Cost: £ 50 (plus VAT) for two week course.

Developing Coaching Skills

This eight week course builds on basic coaching techniques, supports participants as they develop their skills and helps them estabish an effective coaching strategy for their schools.

Participants on the programme follow a structured, facilitated online learning experience and undertake four practical coaching assignments in their schools. Maximum use will be made of video extracts, podcasts as well as online resources for study and reflection. Participants will work in online groups of around 10 people to share experiences and learn together.

The units in the programme are developing coaching skills, coaching approaches, coaching in school and coaching teams.
