What we do in Moodle
Moodle is an open source virtual learning environment which can be downloaded and used on any computer. It can scale from a single tutor site to a site of up to 50,000 users. It has a whole community of users and developers working to continually develop the system. Visit www.moodle.org for more information.
Blue Box Learning specialises in designing, creating and facilitating online courses and collaborative spaces in Moodle (as well as other software). We also work with HowtoMoodle to design and run online facilitation skills courses and to support face-to-face training.
The online facilitation skills course, How to Moodle Effectively, is designed to increase understanding of the principles of effective online facilitation. Through access to a range of resources and involvement in a variety of online activities, participants gain confidence in the online environment and develop an understanding of techniques and strategies to encourage and increase participation online whilst enabling deeper learning.
For more details of this online course including how to book and dates of future courses, go to www.howtomoodle.com.
More details of face-to-face Moodle training can also be found on the howtomoodle website.
Blue Box Learning has its own Moodle site at http://moodle.blueboxlearning.co.uk. Please join our discussion forums.
